The wait is almost over!
The complete TEDxFargo conversation featuring Alex Van Halen, David Lee Roth and artist Robert Vargas will premiere online tomorrow, giving Van Halen fans everywhere their first chance to see the much-talked-about event.
The talk, titled “Beyond Boundaries: How Human Experience Informs Art and Music,” was filmed July 30 at TEDxFargo’s 2026 “CHARGE” event in Fargo, North Dakota.
We’ve embedded the official TEDx video below. It won’t begin playing until its scheduled YouTube premiere tomorrow, but this is where you’ll be able to watch the complete conversation once it goes live. The appearance made headlines before it even happened. Alex and Vargas had originally been announced for the event, with David Lee Roth added just days beforehand.
For Van Halen fans, Roth’s addition made the event especially significant. It marked the first time Alex and Dave had appeared on stage together since Van Halen’s final concert at the Hollywood Bowl on October 4, 2015.
The TEDxFargo conversation brings together three artists from different backgrounds to talk about art, music, life experiences and the creative process. Vargas is a Los Angeles artist known for his large-scale murals and has created several Van Halen-inspired works, including his portrait of Eddie Van Halen.
Fans have been waiting more than six weeks to see the complete conversation. Tomorrow, we’ll finally get to see it.
