STAFF
Jeff Hausman is the Owner/Publisher/Editor of VHND. Jeff was the publisher of The Inside, the all-Van Halen magazine published from 1995 to 2000, which went on to become the band’s official magazine. Jeff has been interviewed on the DVD documentary The Van Halen Story: The Early Years, has interviewed current and former band members several times for The Inside magazine, and visited Eddie’s “5150” recording studio multiple times. Jeff has been in touch with Van Halen management for over 20 years. They’ve used some of his ideas for making official merchandise, and they printed The Inside’s website address in the liner notes of two albums.
Eric Senich has been an FM rock disc jockey for 30 years in Connecticut. He currently writes many articles for the VHND and hosts a classic rock podcast called Booked On Rock. View all of Eric’s articles.
Doug Fox is a contributing writer who became an avid Van Halen fan from the transcendent moment he heard “Eruption” blaring from his car stereo speakers for the first time in 1978. He has followed the band — through all its incarnations — religiously since then. When he’s not living his life like there’s no tomorrow, Doug is an award-winning journalist specializing in rock music and entertainment coverage with 30 years of experience in the newspaper business. In his spare time away from following Van Halen, Doug is the Features Editor at the Daily Herald in Provo, Utah. Read all Doug’s articles.
Kevin Dodds is a contributing writer and is the author of Edward Van Halen: A Definitive Biography. An avid VH follower since 1979, Dodds works in the publishing industry and is a freelance writer, semi-pro guitarist and voracious consumer of rock biographies. He lives in Austin, Texas. Read all Kevin’s articles.
Jay Cruise does Web design, graphics and video production. He’s worked in the music business for nearly 20 years and when not working on projects about his favorite band, he works at a major record label in Los Angeles building websites.
Pamela Hazelton has been with us since 2000 and assists with marketing, design and development, and social media.
About The Inside magazine:
The Inside is an all-Van Halen full color, glossy magazine published from 1995 – 2000. Each issue is packed cover to cover with never-before-seen photos, exclusive interviews, and little known info on Van Halen. Thousands subscribed to it from all over the world, and thousands of copies were sold in music stores, too. It was, for a few years, Van Halen’s official magazine, promoted inside Van Halen’s CD liner notes and sold on tour. After the final issue of The Inside was published, we stopped producing the magazine and concentrate on running the Van Halen News Desk and Van Halen Store. Most back issues of the magazine are available here.
