As fans know Roth has plenty of creative outlets including his artwork, The Roth Show podcast and the recently released interactive comic “The Roth Project”. There are fans who hope Roth’s promise is regarding brand new music.
Back in October Roth released the new track “Somewhere Over The Rainbow Bar and Grill” as a tribute to Eddie Van Halen. It was taken from an unreleased album he wrote and recorded with guitarist John 5 several years ago.
During a 2019 interview with Detroit’s WRIF, Roth promised the full album will eventually see the light of day.
“There’s been a revision of things, and I can start making real plans and start marching into the future,” said Roth. “And, of course, you’ll start hearing that material.”
Back in 2014, John 5 described the unreleased LP as “11 of the greatest songs you’ll ever hear, and it’s just me and Dave, and we had Gregg Bissonette play drums on it. And it’s unbelievable.”
