sounds like the guys are having a good time, great job.

  2. ace5150 says:

It only took 6 weeks to make this album and VH can’t make one in 10 years.

Eddie has been on binges longer than 6 weeks!

  3. DiamondDLR says:

Great BAND, looking forward to the next album already.

  4. 5150j-man says:

You guys have it all wrong. What happened To sammy and Dave after they left Van Halen. They fell off the face of the planet. People listen to van halen for Ed. They go see Van Halen for Ed. this tour was their biggest because no one cared that mikey was gone(I love him to death though)They wanted to See Ed play the Freakin guitar.

  5. Vanicionado says:

I always liked Joe, but I got bored of listening to his albums… I like hearing a singer. This album has given him the platform to step off to the next level… his playing is amazing!!

What if Dave chose Joe instead of Steve back in the day… I wonder if he’d have lasted more than two albums?

I’m with you DiamondDLR, can’t wait for the next album, but I am still enjoying this one! Hope the ‘foot will hit my city soon!!

You know , it takes more than just talent to make it and be a touring, successful musician. Some musicians when short of the flair for interviews and/or publicity make up for it by writing lots of music or touring heavily. The foot is a band that is utilizing all forms of entertainment by giving us Music,Interviews,Media ( Videos and taped and print messages Regarding their status ) and events such as touring .Some bands rely heavily on their past successes and music careers needing only to tour occasionally . IMO Van Halen is one such band….whether or not it is a good thing isn’t up to me…I am Just hoping for new music from my favorite Drama Kings.Have a good weekend .

  7. pushtoshove says:

Oh yeah…Sammy and Mike have no talent and are lazy and just want to party and not make new music…..Did you know that Eddie writes all the music in Van Halen?

  8. David says:

    RENAME THIS SITE…WWW.CHICKFOOT.COM.
YOU ARE MISLEADING THE REST OF US!

  9. surfsno says:

sounds like the band in 91 van halen that is
every notice how they got lazy after fuck and made the live album
that already was the beginning of the end
i heard dave almost came back in 90

  10. Skutch says:

Van, interesting idea. I think Steve’s playing was more conducive to Dave’s music than Joe. That’s why Zappa always put “Steve Vai - stunt guitar” in the liner notes.

  11. SCAR says:

Thanks to the Foot, Rock and Roll music is back in the saddle again!!!!!!! I can’t wait to be blown away by the next Foot album!!!!!

  12. Vanicionado says:

Skutch… I didn’t know that… “Stunt Guitar” pretty much describes Vai. (He’s the only reason I bought a Whitesnake album in my lifetime…)

From what I understand, it was Steve and Dave’s ego’s that didn’t sync… and ultimetly that’s what led to the break-up of that fantastic ‘Dave Band’ ensemble. (Sigh.)

Not to say Dave didn’t pick up any other great guitarists. But I do have to say though… Dave got lazy with his writing on his later albums. Was listening to his ‘Best Of’ on the way into work today and couldn’t believe I didn’t notice how similar the drums and guitar on “Big Train” were to “Hot For Teacher”. Sounds good, but the theme, not so good. Not as memorable.

Let’s hope the new stuff is “Me Wise Magic”, “Can’t Get This Stuff No More”…

    But I digress!

  13. Bocephus says:

Filthy Little Mouth.. was a good album and a good show.

  14. Rick says:

I’m starting to like it. Every post about CF, 13 responses, 18 posts… Ed speeks, 190+ resposes, face it Chickenshit lovers, nobody cares about this next family friendly rock band.

  15. Karl says:

You mean as opposed to caring about a band that hasn’t made any music in ten years? Yeah, you keep hanging in there, any minute now, any minute now…

    Sucker.

  16. Rick says:

Haha karl, yeah the truth hurts. Precisely, nothing in 10 years yet 10x the response CF has. Imagine what happens if VH release something, it will be 100x the response. People care 100x more about the REAL deal, not some crappy spin off.

  17. PeterNJ says:

Well if the fabled next album sounds anything like the Cherone disaster (VH III), people will stop caring about a new VH album quickly. I love Eddie..he is the reason I play guitar, but somewhere over the last 15 years the dude has lost focus completely on how to write good VH songs. With the exception of 1 or 2 songs on ‘III’ the album was a mess. Hopefully Dave and Wolfie can steer Eddie away from the stranger, groovless drivel he tended toward on ‘III’. I’d rather have no new album then hear something like that again.

  18. Karl says:

Well Rick, you better pray to God that the next VH album (if we ever get one) ain’t a POS or you VAN HALEN AND NOTHING BUT VAN HALEN guys are going to be suicidal! And what do you think are the chances are that Ed’s going to come up with a classic when you take account of his activity over the last ten years? You going to bet the farm on it being a classic? I wouldn’t even give you odds on it being as good as Chickenfoot. Which, by the way, while not being the second coming is still an excellent rock album. Free your mind dude and listen with open ears.

  19. Pete says:

To the guy who said Sam & Dave fell off the face of the earth after VH…THANKS FOR THE LAUGH BABY!!!!!!

    - Hmmmm…those guys did a tour together that made a FAR bigger splash than VHIII.

    - Sammy’s first post-VH album OUTSOLD VHIII.

    - Sammy has made 6 studio albums, 1 live album, and 3 DVDs in the same space that VH has made one.

    - CHICKENFOOT has the #6 album in CURRENT charts. While we read about recycled VH news from twenty years ago, Sammy & Mike are making it happen NOW.

‘Nuff said I suppose, but you read so much B.S. on here it seems worthwhile every now and then to separate the BS from the truth once in a while. Facts are facts, so love Eddie all you want, but you’re in some strange-ass denial if you try to say Sammy & Dave are irrellavant without Ed.

I’ll have what that guy was having…and a glazed donut…
