An Evening Celebrating Van Halen

by VHND — updated January 18, 2026 Leave a Comment

“I think that you’re headed for a whole lotta trouble….” Nashville!

Four friends of the Van Halen News Desk are putting on a show this Saturday— “An evening celebrating the music of Van Halen! The DLR Years: 1978-1984.”

UPDATED 1/18/26: We’ve added several videos below.

And for everyone who can’t be there in Nashville, the VHND will feature all the videos that become available from the concert, right here in this article.

Christopher Williams, Jeremy Asbock, Philip Shouse, and Ryan Spencer Cook

The four guys in the band are huge, lifelong Van Halen fans. Jeremy, Philip and Ryan have been in the Ace Frehley and Gene Simmons bands, and Jeremy and Ryan are also in Rock City Machine Co, who released a fun, 80s-sounding rock album in 2023.

Philip Shouse has been the guitarist for legendary German metal band Accept since 2019. He recently signed with Wild Kingdom Records and is now stepping into the spotlight with his long-awaited debut EP, “Side 1.”

Their Van Halen show promises to please DIE HARD VH fans… no “Jump”, no “Panama”—instead, expect to hear some deep cuts!

Here’s “Summer Song” from Asbock’s and Cook’s band, Rock City Machine Co:
