The complete video of Alex Van Halen’s Los Angeles book appearance can now be seen in its entirety.
Alex appeared at the Robert Frost Auditorium in Culver City, California on October 24th for a Live Talks event to promote his book Brothers. In the video above, Alex reflects on his childhood years, forming Van Halen with David Lee Roth, and the possibility of unreleased music from him and his brother Edward in the future.
“If I can make him proud of whatever it is that we’re trying to put together then we’ll do that,” Alex told the audience. “But if it’s less than the level of what we were used to, then it probably would not be a good idea. In any event, the music will always be under lock and key and maybe 20, 30 years from now Wolf will want to do something with it. I don’t know but I want to do it right with Ed. I know what we were working on, it was a little bit different than what people are used to. It was more of a sonic experiment if you will. I wish I could play some of it, man. It’ll knock your socks off. It’s great. It’s unbelievable.”
