Wolfgang Van Halen gave Guitar World an in-depth look at the making of the Mammoth II album and the complete audio of the interview has been released!
Rock journalist Chris Gill (co-author of Eruption: Conversations with Eddie Van Halen) recently interviewed Wolfgang for the cover feature of the January 2024 issue of Guitar World but tells us that there is even more material in the audio version.
“There was only enough space in the print version for about 25-30 percent of the content, so there’s a ton of extra/bonus/cutting room floor material,” Gill told VHND. “Wolf goes into greater detail about his working partnership with producer Elvis Baskette, the upgrades and renovations he’s made to the 5150 studio, new songs he wrote that will appear on the next Mammoth WVH album, his ongoing headline tour and much more. It’s a great insight into his creative process as a songwriter and multi-faceted musician.”
