Wolfgang Van Halen has tapped into Van Halen history for the brand-new Mammoth WVH single “Take A Bow”.
An official lyric video for the near-seven-minute track can be viewed above. At the halfway mark is an electrifying solo featuring finger-tapping and phrasing very reminiscent of classic Van Halen. It’s a song that will remain near and dear to Wolfgang.
“It was the last song we finished. It’s officially the longest song I’ve released to date, and I feel the guitar solo is really special,” Wolfgang said in a statement. “I played the solo on the original Frankenstein guitar and through Dad’s original Marshall head and one of the original cabinets. It’s straight-up what he used on the earliest Van Halen records. It makes me happy to capture some of Dad’s history on this song forever.”
“Take A Bow” is from the sophomore Mammoth WVH release Mammoth II due out August 4th.
