Michael Anthony’s Fundraiser for Children’s Hospital Los Angeles

by VHND — updated May 21, 2023 Leave a Comment

Yesterday (May 20th) was the seventh annual WALK AND PLAY L.A. fundraiser for Children’s Hospital Los Angeles.

Michael and his family were there to honor his late grandson, Rex Becerra, and to raise money for Children’s Hospital Los Angeles.

From Micheal Anthony:

“As many of you know, my grandson, Rex Michael Becerra was born on March 20th, 2017 with an undiagnosed heart condition. After birth, Rex was transported to CHLA, where he underwent open heart surgery at 7 days old. Although the surgery was a success, Rex ultimately succumbed to his heart condition and passed away on April 4th at only two weeks old.

“Since Rex’s passing, we walk every year at the Walk and Play CHLA and have raised nearly $250,000 for the CTICU (cardiothoracic intensive care unit) at CHLA. Even though Rex’s life was cut short, his story will continue to be told, and his legacy will live on. We will continue to support all the amazing doctors and nurses that work miracles every second of every day at CHLA.

“I hope you’ll join me and help support my fundraising efforts by donating to Children’s Hospital Los Angeles. Your tax-deductible gift will make a difference in the lives of many young patients and their families. Any amount, large or small, will be greatly appreciated and will help us create hope and build healthier futures for the children in our care. I thank you from the bottom of my heart.”
