Jump Back, What’s That Sound? It’s The Van Halen Parody ‘Santa Claus’!

by Eric Senich — updated December 24, 2022 Leave a Comment

Here’s something to stuff those stockings with the line running up the back with. A brand new Van Halen parody has arrived courtesy of The Society of Bandits, who have taken “Panama” and transformed it into “Santa Claus”!

“Santa Claus” Lyrics:

Jump back, what’s that sound?
Here he comes…Santa’s back in town, yeah!
Black boots, red hat and Santa suit
Model citizen? Or naughty list again?
Don’t you know he’s comin’ down your chimney?
He’s gotta turn and burn
On Dasher!

Santa Claus!
Santa Claus!
Santa Claus!
Santa Claus!

Ain’t nothin’ like it, shiny machine
He goes around the whole world every Christmas Eve
He’s got a crew, eight tiny caribou
He’s got an on ramp landing up on my roof!
Don’t you know he’s comin’ down the chimney?
He’s gotta turn and burn
On Dancer!

Santa Claus!
Santa Claus!
Santa Claus!
Santa Claus!
HO HO HO HO!

[guitar solo]

Yeah, we’re runnin’ a little bit late tonight
I can barely see the road from the fog comin’ on
Reach down, between my legs, into my magic bag
Reindeer runnin’
I’m flyin’
Randolph’s in my rearview mirror now
Got the feelin’, Christmas cheer’n
Fillin’ stockings, ain’t no stopping now!

Santa Claus!
Santa Claus!
Santa Claus!
Santa Claus!
HO! HO! HO! HO!
Santa Claus!
Santa Claus!
Santa Claus!

  • Augustine Augustine Looks like he was inspired by Mike Myers' character ... so another Alice cameo would have been great. Alice knows VH was the greatest.
