Howard Stern Show Revisits David Lee Roth’s Acoustic Medley Of Van Halen Classics From 2002 [VIDEO]

by VHND — updated June 27, 2022 Leave a Comment

The Howard Stern Show just reached into their video archives to bring back a rare acoustic performance from David Lee Roth exactly twenty summers ago!

The video, released via Stern’s YouTube channel this weekend, comes from Roth’s September 6th, 2002 appearance on Stern’s radio show. He had just wrapped up the highly-publicized summer tour with Sammy Hagar appropriately titled “Song For Song, The Undisputed Heavyweight Champs Of Rock And Roll!”.

Roth and his solo band performed a medley of Van Halen classics including “Ice Cream Man”, “Beautiful Girls”, “Runnin’ With the Devil,” “Panama,” “(Oh) Pretty Woman,” and “Ain’t Talkin’ ‘Bout Love”. A few one-liners and “Dave-isms” are thrown in for good measure along the way including “Live in front of your naked, steaming eyes!” and “Like a thunder bolt in your Cheerios!”.
