David Lee Roth, in his own inimitable way, has taken fans down Van Halen memory lane. This story includes a plain white guitar, some tape, some paint and a whole lot of Eddie Van Halen ingenuity!
In the video above titled “Separated At Birth?”, Dave explains the history of Eddie’s iconic red, white and black striped guitar along with a photo of a DLR painting. You may recognize the pattern of Dave’s work, which is why he decided to tell the story of the EVH Frankenstein guitar – from its inception right through to its eventual place in pop culture history.
