Sammy Hagar, Michael Anthony and Janie Van Halen posted their tributes to Eddie Van Halen today.

Hagar shared a black and white photo of Eddie delivering his trademark mid-air scissor kick during Van Halen’s 1991-1992 tour along with some brief words:

“I can’t believe it’s been a year. The man is gone but the music lives on #forever.“

Michael Anthony’s tribute features a photo of he and Eddie during Van Halen’s 1984 tour with the following message:

“One year ago today we lost a phenomenal guitarist brother and friend. Ed, I’ll never forget any of the time we had together on and off stage. Through the highs and lows, Van Halen was the best time of my life. I’ll continue to wave the mighty VH flag high brother!! #vanhalen #fourheadedmonster #missyabrother“

Eddie’s widow Janie shared a photo of Eddie, Janie and their dog Kody together along with the following words:

“I think about you every single day.
Your smile, your laugh, your kindness – in every single way.

I miss this, I miss us, I miss you, and I try my best to carry on the way you would want me to.
But my Peep, some days, that’s really hard to do.
This will never get easier because there really is no getting over you.
The only solace that I can seem to find is knowing you are with god and truly free.
Until our souls find each other again, please keep an eye on me.
I love you and miss you so much.
Love,
Your PooPee and our Kody too
“
