Sammy Hagar’s Birthday Bash is coming back to Catalina.
For the second straight year Hagar will celebrate his birthday in Catalina instead of his usual location – The Cabo Wabo Cantina in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. The event is scheduled for October 7th, 8th and 9th. More details are to come according to Hagar, who posted the news to his website redrocker.com:
In 31 years we’ve only had to move the birthday bash from Cabo 4 times – twice due to hurricanes. Now 2 in a row due to Covid. Let’s make number 4 the magic number. The bash can survive anything, we’ll make it the best one ever!!”
Stay tuned for more details!
Last year Hagar celebrated his 73rd birthday with a socially distant concert on a special stage set up on the beach at Two Harbors on the shores of California’s Catalina Island. The concert was professionally filmed in high-def and later made available as a pay-per-view event. Will he do the same this year? We’ll have to wait and see. What we do know is Hagar plans on treating Van Halen fans with some setlist additions in the future, including a performance of the 1988 album OU812 in its entirety along with the 1995 Balance album deep track “Aftershock”.
