Sammy Hagar & the Circle made their return to the stage in Key West, Florida this week and played over a handful of Van Halen songs.
Hagar was joined by his Circle bandmates – Michael Anthony (bass), Jason Bonham (drums) and Vic Johnson (guitar) for their performance at the Key West Ampitheater on Sunday night. Of the 18 songs performed, seven were from Hagar’s days with Van Halen. Two came from 1986’s ‘5150’ album (“Good Enough”, “Why Can’t This Be Love”), one from 1988’s ‘OU812’ (“Finish What Ya Started”), three from 1991’s ‘For Unlawful Carnal Knowledge’ (“Poundcake”, “Top Of The World”, “Right Now”) with the remaining song “Humans Being” coming from the 1996 ‘Twister’ soundtrack.
