David Lee Roth loves his W.A.P. That’s Wings And Pizza. Get your filthy little minds out of the gutter!
Roth has released his latest piece of original artwork and this one is inspired by the controversy followed by Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion’s nationally televised performance of their popular 2020 song “WAP” at this year’s Grammy Awards.
The song “WAP” has been criticized for its explicit lyrics which reference female empowerment and sexual pride. During the show the singers changed many of the original lines and CBS censored out others while they performed on a stage which featured a pole on a massive high heel. The performance ended with the two doing the bump and grind on a bed.
Both the song and performance led to criticism from conservatives and even managed to get a reaction from classic rockers including Black Sabbath bassist Geezer Butler who called the song “disgusting” and a “bit much”.
