Michael Anthony Had Plans To Perform With David Lee Roth In Vegas

by VHND — updated March 13, 2021 Leave a Comment

Michael Anthony said he almost performed with David Lee Roth during his 2020 Las Vegas residency.

Anthony was a recent guest on The Jeremy White Podcast and was asked about a possible future Anthony-Roth on stage reunion.

“When [Dave] did his residence stuff in Las Vegas out here – of course it turned out where I couldn’t do it anyway, I think Sammy [Hagar], we had something goin’ on with The Circle – but I was actually going to show up and see about goin’ up on stage and jammin’ with Dave,” said Anthony. “I’m sure if it came up [again], if it’s the right situation, ya know, let it happen.”

Anthony hasn’t performed with Roth on stage since 1984. Last November, Wolfgang Van Halen revealed that Eddie Van Hale had contemplated a “kitchen-sink tour” that would have included Anthony, as well as vocal turns from both Hagar and Roth. There was even talk about bringing back the band’s third singer Gary Cherone.

The full interview Anthony will be available this Tuesday.

  • the_brute_squad the_brute_squad 29 Palms is as solid a Plant sing as you can get! Definitely different sound than Zep, but the way he sings it, you can hear the same emotion he used to sing with during the early days.
