Wolfgang Van Halen appeared on the TODAY show this morning for a brief interview followed by an acoustic performance of the debut Mammoth WVH single “Distance”.
During the interview Wolfgang talked about the lyrics to “Distance” and how they hold significance not just for him, but for anyone who has lost a loved one. He said that the main chorus – “No matter what the distance is I will be with you” – is “almost like a mantra for you when you lose someone, anyone, that plays a large role in your life. That’s kind of my mantra when I think about my dad.”
