Tonight is the night Wolfgang Van Halen and his band Mammoth WVH will appear on Jimmy Kimmel Live! The last time Wolfgang was on the show he was performing alongside his dad almost six years ago.
“I’m excited, I’m nervous. The last time I played the show was with my dad,” Wolfgang in an interview with Montreal’s CHOM 97.7 earlier this week. “There’s a lot of swirling emotions.”
Van Halen performed a set on Jimmy Kimmel Live! back on March 30th, 2015 to promote the following-day release of their live album “Tokyo Dome: Live In Concert” along with an upcoming tour.
This time Wolfgang will be performing with what he told CHOM is his “official live band”. The Mammoth WVH lineup includes Garret Whitlock (Tremonti) on drums, Frank Sidoris (Slash) on guitar, Ronnie Ficarro (Falling In Reverse) on bass and guitarist Jon Jourdan (To Whom It May).
“It’s a really well rounded band and I’m super happy with all these guys,” said Wolfgang. “They’re great dudes, great players, I’m really stoked.”
Wolfgang was also asked when his debut album will be released.
“I would pay attention to all the Mammoth [WVH] related social media this week if you wanna find that out,” responded Wolfgang.
