‘Hot For Teacher’ Van Halen Drum Cover – Age 6 vs. Age 13

by VHND — updated May 22, 2020 Leave a Comment

Seven years ago, we featured 6-year-old drumming prodigy Avery Molek, shredding Van Halen’s ‘Hot For Teacher’, which helped it go viral – racking up over four million views on YouTube and received well over 100,000 ‘Likes’ on VHND.com and our Facebook page!

Today, Avery, now 13-years-old, has covered “Hot For Teacher” again.

“When I was 6 years old my “Hot For Teacher” viral video gave me so many amazing opportunities. National television appearances and performing in front of 18,000 people with Brad Paisley. Over the years I have covered this song numerous times with multiple musicians at many venues.

“Now recording this song again 7 years later, shows me how far I have come and how hard work pays off.”

Watch both videos below. How do you think Avery has progressed?

Check out Avery’s covers of more Van Halen classics, “Girl Gone Bad!”  “Outta Love Again”  “I’m The One” “Everybody Wants Some” “5150” “Hot For Teacher” and “House of Pain.” You’ll be amazed!

Keep up with Avery with his website or facebook page. Thanks Avery, and keep on rockin’!
