Two months ago, Michael Anthony publicly shared the tragic news that he lost his newborn grandson from heart complications.
Last Saturday, Michael took part in the “Walk L.A.” event for Children’s Hospital L.A. with his family, in order to support the hospital that did so much for his grandson, and continues to serve the health needs of many other children.
As fans expressed their deepest condolences to Michael and his family, some of them donated to the cause. In fact, David Lee Roth himself donated $10,000 to Michael’s cause.
Sunday, Michael posted photos and the following message about participating in Walk L.A. on his Facebook page, Mad Anthony’s Cafe.
This past Saturday was the Walk LA fundraiser for Children’s Hospital Los Angeles. It was the inaugural walk and it was a HUGE success!! Rex and the Heart Beaters was the top fundraising team raising over $105,000, $45,000 of which came from my family, friends, and you, the fans!! I can never thank you enough for your generosity, donating to this wonderful hospital, knowing that there are children out there who will benefit from every dollar that was donated.
Once again, thank you from the bottom of my heart. I am out touring now with The Circle, and I’ll be out there rocking my ass off for you every night!!
