Van Halen played the California Mid-State Fair last night in Paso Robles, CA. Below are a few of the best YouTube videos that have surfaced (including part of soundcheck!), along with some photos from junebug5150 on Photobucket).
During Ain’t Talkin’ ‘Bout Love, David Lee Roth told the audience, “This is our last show for awhile here in the United States.” He also gave a heartfelt thanks to all the crew members who worked their 2012 and 2013 tours, noting that many new crew members were recently hired for sound, lights, staging, etc. Sure enough, fans who attended the shows this week reported that the sound mix was excellent.
As for the future, could the band finally be planning more shows outside the U.S.? In any event, stay tuned to VHND over the next couple weeks, as we have some VERY cool surprises in store for everyone!
