VHND’s All Access Photo: Ed’s Jeep

This week’s photo is from 1979 and has never been published anywhere until now. The photo and story are by rock photographer Neil Zlozower.

“When I first started hanging with the guys, they would just randomly pop over to my apartment on Fuller Street in Los Angeles to hang out with me if they were in my neighborhood. Ed had just gotten rid of his old Peugeot and got a brand new CJ Jeep that he really loved. Every time Ed would come over with the Jeep, instead of parking on the street like a NORMAL person, he would always park on the front lawn of my complex. This time, I grabbed a camera and we did a FAST session with him and his prized Jeep!”

— Neil Zlozower

“All Access” Van Halen photos is a weekly feature at VHND.com. Every weekend we will be posting a photo from a roadie, friend, or band insider. Many will be exclusives that have never been seen anywhere before, and some will be supplied with new captions from David Lee Roth. Tune in every weekend for more!
