With just over TWO weeks to go until the first ever STONE Music Festival lands at ANZ Stadium with Billy Joel and Van Halen’s ONLY Australian performances (featuring full, greatest hits sets), STONE Music Festival is thrilled to announce that Aerosmith will be joining the line-up on Saturday, 20 April!
Instead of performing their own show at ANZ Stadium, Sydney, on Sunday, April 28, Aerosmith will now perform alongside Van Halen, at the same venue, on Saturday, April 20.
In a statement today, Aerosmith confirmed, “We are writing to you today to advise you of a major announcement pertaining to the tickets that you purchased for the Aerosmith concert scheduled for Sunday 28 April, 2013”.
“It is with great pleasure that we announce that Aerosmith will now be co-headlining the Stone Music Festival on Saturday 20 April, 2013 with Van Halen.
“Stone Festival will be Aerosmith’s only Sydney performance and Van Halen’s only Australian performance. Both bands will perform full, greatest hits sets.
“This will mean the original Aerosmith concert date on Sunday 28 April, 2013 will no longer take place with all ticket holders receiving equivalent ticket allocation for the Stone Music Festival on Saturday 20 April, 2013”.
In its first year, Stone Music Festival will be held in Sydney on April 20 and 21.
Saturday, April 20th Lineup: As well as Van Halen and Aerosmith, the festival will include Jimmy Barnes, The Living End, Noiseworks, Buckcherry, supergroup Kings of Chaos, The SUperjesus, Richie Ramone, Ian Moss, Choirboys, The Art, My So Called Life, and Atlantis Awaits.
Sunday, April 21st Lineup: Billy Joel will headline with Icehouse, Lifehouse, Diesel, Mark Seymour, Guy Sebastian, Shannon Noll, Illumination Road, Dallas Frasca, Mark Moroney and Stone Parade.
With a maximum 25,000 reserved seating capacity for each day, all ticket tiers afford music fans clear sight lines from all seat locations, plenty of parking around the venue and convenient public transportation making ANZ Stadium Australia’s rock mecca on 20 and 21 April.
With the line-up on both days now set in Stone (pardon the pun), revised set times have now been finalised and are available at www.stonemusicfest.com.
