Van Halen’s 1984 epic “Hot For Teacher” has now been covered by a heavy metal mariachi band. (You read that right). And they’ve gone to the trouble of creating a professional video to accompany it, complete with in-your-face pelvic thrusts from a trumpet player wearing the equivalent of a Madonna pointy bustier on his crotch.
We’re not sure if this will make Van Halen fans run to – or away – from the border, but this Metalachi cover is definitely a new take on “Hot For Teacher.”
Metalachi has been called “the greatest heavy metal mariachi band in the world.” They perform favorites from bands like Black Sabbath, Guns ‘n Roses and Van Halen, but played on trumpets, violins, guitarrons and even cowbells.
