And what about Chickenfoot? After you do the Chili Peppers, are you going to do another record?

“Absolutely! We’re having so much fun and it’s gone so well – there’s no reason not to continue with Chickenfoot. That’s something I want to make very clear: Chickenfoot isn’t a one-off thing for any of us. We’re a band.

“I would imagine during my time with the Peppers that Joe will probably do another solo record, and maybe Sammy and Mike will do something on their own. But as soon as I’m done with the Chili Peppers, I’m diving right back into Chickenfoot. We’re going to outdo this record, too. That’s the plan and I’m sticking to it.”

    I would love to see Mikey do a solo project! I think he finally got the respect he deserved as a musician and as a bass player in Chickenfoot. I hope it spurs him to do a solo project. Then LONG LIVE THE FOOT!!

    Mike doesn’t have to get back into VH to sit around doing nothing all year – he can do that himself.

    Just hope Sammy and Mike find some way to keep rocking while they wait instead of going back to Beach Sammy.

    That would be really cool. I like the album, the songs that I particularly like are, Turning Left, and Get it Up. What an awesome line up, Chickenfoot is. The name sort of reminds me of my old nick name, they use to call me at school!!!!

    how long for the RHCP’s? 18 months ? for the record and tour ?

    we’ll see – he may change his mind after the RHCP reunion.
    i hate to wish ill on a band just to help MY band , y’know.
    ( i mean – who would wish for EXTREME to break up just so….oh wait )

    mike should definately write a book , but i think he’s too timid and politically neutral to do it . the guy who wrote the ” everybody wants some ” book should hook up with him and get the inside scoop. mike knows some deep dark sh*t , about the early days ….

    Love the Chilis!! But you shake half of the fluff out of their last double disc release and you get only 3/4 of a albums worth of good songs. Fruciante is amazing, as well as Flea, but I tire of the lyrical content…

    I keep putting the Chickenfoot album away trying not to burn myself out on it and yet it keeps coming back. The songs keep getting better and better.

    But if I have to wait, I’ll wait.

    Patience is a virture. Especially if you’re a dedicated Van Halen fan.

    Long live The Foot!!

    Dan, Sammy may be 62 but his voice sounds as good as ever on the CF album. It’s the tequila. He’s slowly preserving himself while he’s still alive so he can do this until he’s 100.

    You Chicken Food fans need to get over it. Sam made three decent songs with VH: Judgement Day, Aftershock, and Humans Being. The rest is all Dave and the boys who I might add are gearing up again for 2010.

    Last Twenty Years?? Great Guitar work and drums. Didn’t hear much bass except for Balutchatherium. As for lyrics that make any sense or are entertaining, you can’t come up with that at the last minute on the hood of your Ferrari and expect to keep up with the brothers Van Halen.

    Good for them. In this time though, I can’t see a rock band putting out a lot of good stuff if they are going to jump into another album so soon. That’s fine if they are going to keep recording enough songs for mutliple albums, but your way better off recording enough for 3+ albums and slowly filtering through and picking that best to comprise of just 1 album. It was different 20 years ago when it was easier to find a new sound and something new.

    Dan, he may be 62, but he still has the pipes of a 20 year old!! Age means nothin’!! Remember, Eddie and Dave aren’t that far off, and they seemed to do pretty well on the last tour!!
    By the way, I read the book….several times, and I am not quite sure what you are alluding to. Please enlighten me with your brilliance!!
    I look forward to a new Peppers album, but I hope the tour is a short one. I anticipate a new Fott album more!!!

    EVH has gone public on several sites reporting that he is waiting for his hand to heal, then release new tunes with Dave and get on tour all by the first of the year. As you can tell, I am not a fan of the foot. I think it is great for Mikey, but I am waiting on Guitar Hero December 22,2009 and then some new tunes from the boys of Pacadena.

    We are getting off track here. There are real, true Van Halen fans here who come to this site for news. Apparently education of the band is needed to understand what was and what is to come. I have been a fan for many years and will continue to support Ed and his band.

    RE-READ THE COVER OF THAT BOOK DAN. It says “UNOFFICIAL BIOGRAPHY”. That means that very little of the content has been substantiated by anybody who knows what really went down during the glory days of VH.
    You should probably stop posting before the impossible happens and you make yourself look even more moronic than you already do.

    Dan, I am VH fan Sans the few months with some dude from extreme What the Fuck!!!!

    I have read Everybody wants some, I have read Valaries book(learn alot there as well. But when Sam jpined VH the first four Albums went to #1 something the band had never accomplished. For you to bash Sammy all the time is truely unfair was he a egomaniac? sure you gotta have some balls to preform in front of 40,000 people.

    I have a believe that extra talented are not of this world musicians are way out there!! Eddie, Madonna, Micheal Jackson, Elvis, The dude from the Beatles, Sinatra. They are on a different level and are not easy to deal with because they are not normal people………… Excintric (sp) would be the word they tend to over abuse drugs alchohol etc. All of them!! I have read the books and articles etc.

    You are way off base to say that nothing Sammy did was worht a dime, he has been doing of for forty years strong and made some great business decisions as well.

    I love the Chickenfoot I was skeptical of satch at first.

    It is the best good old Rock and roll music made in a very long time.
