No Brown M&M’s At Van Halen’s Wedding

When Eddie Van Halen and his fiance Janie Liszewski wed this last weekend one of the gifts presented to guests were custom printed M&M’s, among a number of other lovely items.
And as you know Eddie has a history with M&M’s. Specifically the brown ones. In 1982 the four members of Van Halen infamously destroyed the backstage of a venue when absentminded promoters failed to follow their policy of “absolutely no brown” M&M’s.
So where confectioners upheld to the same past details of Van Halen for the wedding? The bride exclusively confirmed to theradreport.com that, well, there were no brown M’s present: “We chose green and white m&ms for this occasion.”

Great studio album, with actually a sustained radio single (did i say radio…Tom Petty would be proud)on the horizon.
Followed by a more of the same Tour……

One comment on the new Van Halen album…
I would hope with Dave’s musical eccentrics and Ed’s pressure to really bring it-
It doesn’t come out as mush.
I don’t forsee it, but it is a concern.
Back to basics would work nicely here, and it would be appropriate on many levels.

People relax; don’t get your knickers in a knot!!! Diamond Dave is doing just fine. King Eddie is on a honeymoon and on top of the world!!! Damn it’s so good to see that familiar smile of Eddie’s, he makes ya feel good, why because the man is a good bloke that also happens to be the greatest guitarist of all time!!! You can just feel it that he’s in a good frame of mind which is good news for all of us!!!
Big Al is giving his blessing to us all, Wolfie is enjoying his end of school holidays and Diamond Dave is plotting and planning. For those that don’t know or care about much about our Dave (mainly the Sammy lovers!), Dave always lays low when a tour is completed. You won’t hear anything from Dave until he’s ready to start the ball moving on a new album & tour!! I can gladly say now, Van Halen has a bright future ahead of them. And to think of it; back in 2004 I thought Van Halen was finished when they did that pathetic reunion tour with Sammy ‘Ronald McDonald’ Hagar!!! “Where have all the good times gone?” The good times are back and it’s called VAN HALEN!!!!

New VH album? I hope so, too. But easier said than done with these guys. I’ll believe it if and when I see it. Ed was the problem in 2004, not Sammy. Ed’s sober now, let’s see what he can do. Meanwhile Sammy Mike Joe & Chad have gotten down to business. Chickenfoot is charting on Billboard and they have a tour that is building momentum.

i dont consider the music and vibe since the departure of sammy in 1996 as positive, party music minus some goofy lyrics by sam.
the music is very dark angry and new agey and has been that way since human beings.
the van halen you speak of is the van halen that was around from 1974-1993

I’m not too worried about Dave not talking to the press, although it would be good to hear from him. There’s too much information about everything these days, so keeping it a bit mysterious about the new music might work in VH’s favor. Remember at the time of that Rolling Stone interview when Ed was on the cover with Jimmy Page and BB King he said that the music he was coming up with was the total opposite of slam bang Van Halen. I think they’re gonna need to do something different, or else it’s just Chickensh!t …

I really dont think that dave not being invited means anything disastrous. I think it just means that (like we’ve all known for years) that Dave & Eddie live two completely different lives and lifestyles. I loved Chickenfoot, really good stuff, but would be overwhelmingly happy if EVH came back and blew even that out of the water
