Great interview Mike. You are a class act and a down to earth guy. I liked how you talked about being in a band with no drama. I can relate to that. At the local level there is drama, even in cover bands. I can for sure relate. Thanks Mike!!

Loved that interview Mike gives back to the fans a real , stand up guy it really pisses me off that he`s not in Van halen were he belongs . Edd really tests my patience these days the whole situation realy annoys me , At least he talks to the fan just for the sake of it noy just to sell somthing he endorses like Edd .

I WISH YOU WOULD DO AN INTERVIEW WITH A VAN HALEN MEMBER.A CHAT WITH DAVE TO FIND OUT WHATS GOING ON WITH VAN HALEN WOULD BE NICE.

  • sad fan

DOES ANYBODY KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT THE SUPPOSED LIVE DVD OF THE LAST TOUR. OR WAS THAT JUST MORE …

    Hey VHND,

Just wanted to say that you did a great job on the Michael Anthony interview. I listened to parts 5-8 today and really enjoyed them. Man, Mikey seems like a genuine, down-to-earth guy that really loves interacting with the fans. He seems like he would be a blast to hang with. That attitude really shined through in the interview. Great job!

I gotta tell you guys… this “chapterized” interview with Michael Anthony is awesome. You know why I think it is awesome?? Because he has nothing to lose. It feels like I am getting a real, personal, honest view point of view from Mikey. He is awesome, I have always loved him, I have always been against the tour without him (although I did go, so how against it does that make me?)… Anyway, I am so stoked about this interview, you guys rule, alleluia, amen, holy shit.

Nice shout out for Alter Bridge, which is the best band going today. Really, if you guys don’t own Blackbird, you’re missing the best rock album in many years. Mike wouldn’t steer you wrong, check out Alter Bridge (best lead singer on the planet right now, by the way).

Thank you for the Michael Anthony interview. I listened to it all this morning and really enjoyed it, he seems like a real nice guy. I’ve only just become a Van Halen fan and am so impressed with the News Desk and VH Links. It’s all very exciting to have somewhere to check-in and see what’s happening, especially since I’m in Australia. Van Halen aren’t as big here as they are in the States.

    Thanks again.

I STILL CAN’T BELIEVE THESE GUYS DID A REUNION TOUR WITHOUT MICHEAL ANTHONY! I WENT TO THE SHOW IN NEW ORLEANS BUT SOMETHING WAS MISSING , I DIDN’T SEE CRAZY MIKE WITH HIS JACK DANIELS BASS GUITAR! HEY EDDIE, SEND YOUR KID HOME AND GIVE MIKEY A CALL! I’VE BEEN A FAN SINCE THE FIRST ALBUM CAME OUT AND ALWAYS WILL BE, BUT VAN HALEN IS NOT THE SAME WITHOUT HIM….

Thanks so much to VHND for the excellent interview with Mike. Most importantly, thanks to Mike for doing the interview! The true Van Halen fans have known for years that you and Sam were the only members that can relate to us, the fans. Thanks for not changing through the years and still being the same guy you were before the success. Best of luck to you in the future, and most importantly- keep coming out on the road to play for the fans!

    Mad Mike

    Hey Alix,
Don’t stress Van Halen in Australia is just as big as in the US we just like to keep Van Halen to ourselves.Over the years every time I passed somebody on the street with a Van Halen shirt on or a cap on we would look at each other with out saying a word and we know what we’re thinking. All Van Halen fans know that we are part of a special club and we can’t describe the feeling to someone who has no idea about the band or what their history means to us. I remember going to the Sydney concert for the Van Halen 3 tour with Gary Cherone and anybody who was there that night knows that it was a packed house and there were people outside trying to get in without tickets it was crazy. Everybody stood up from the start to the end. I hope you get to see them live again in Australia whatever the incarnation is!

Hey Mike, thanks for showing that despite all you’ve endured from the Van Halen brothers, that you and Sammy are the bigger and better men and chose the high road. It’s nice to see even huge rock stars like yourself are down to earth. You’re a class act. Not a day goes by that my three year old son doesn’t pull out your live shows(dvd) and mimick you guys with his little guitar. Good Luck with your future projects and hope you make it up to Canada(Montreal) with Chickenfoot.
