Van Halen’s Rock Hall induction is tonight

Monday, 12 March 2007

Van Halen & Rock and Roll Hall of FameThose with VH1 Classic can watch tonight’s ceremony live starting at 8:30 p.m. Eastern Time.

Those without can watch it live online HERE.

And those who want to wait can watch a two-hour edited version that premieres on VH1 this Saturday (3/17).

As it stands now, it looks like Sammy and Mike are the only two members expected to be on hand. Velvet Revolver will supposedly perform “Ain’t Talkin’ ‘Bout Love” and “Runaround.”

Ed is now in rehab, and Al isn’t expected to attend, but we’ll see.

Dave was planning to be there, but, depending on who you believe, either the Rock Hall organizers rejected his request to perform, or he refused to participate.

Nothing’s ever simple in Van Halen land.

Regardless, congratulations to Ed, Al, Mike, Dave and Sam. The band definitely deserves to be in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame … now let’s just hope they get their shit together and give some present-day meaning to their legendary history.

Guys, dress up and get the hell over there, enough with this, get Roth down there and don’t forget the Frankenstrat.
Tune it up first, and Sammy and Dave can take turns on verses. Just do it !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It’s so sad, all of the ego and pride that gets in the way of such wealthy, talented people. I think they have forgotten where they came from and how they got there. They really owe this to the fans around the world. We have’nt stopped listening to their music, so maybe they should listen to us now and get it together!

Though geniuses, they are human, give em a break dude.
As long as they share thier talent with us, I’ve not a thing to complain about.
I ADORE ‘Catherine’ I can’t express how it moves me. :)
