Watch Party: Episodes 1 & 2 of ‘Van Halen 1984 Documentary’!

by VHND — updated July 26, 2023 Leave a Comment

The first two episodes of ‘The Van Halen 1984 Documentary’ have been released! And we’re having a Watch Party right here on VHND!

They are embedded below and went LIVE today! Watch them here and discuss them in the comments below.

EP1 Building 5150 Studio

EP2 The Road to the US Festival

It’s an unofficial, 5-Part Fan-Made Miniseries.

The year 1984 was, arguably, Van Halen at its peak. The band’s creativity and tensions reached an optimum balance — enough to keep the passion in the music but not enough yet to destroy the band. This 5-part fan-made miniseries results from seven months of research, interviews, and video editing.

The unofficial rockumentary was made by a lifelong VH fan at The Tapes Archive, who tells VHND, “After seven months of work, my new Van Halen 5-part series is about to be released. (Over 2.5 hours) Lots of newly uncovered information and media never seen by the public.”

There are 5 episodes in total. All will be released to YouTube for free viewing.

EP1: Building 5150 Studios
EP2: The Road to the US Festival
EP3: The Making of the 1984 Album
Ep4: The 1984 Tour
EP5: Van Halen Breaks Up
