Final Resonance TV’s Van Halen Stories Podcast #48 recently featured an interview with Nick Bowcott of Grim Reaper, Marshall Amplification, EVH Gear, and Sweetwater.
In his in-depth interview with the Van Halen News Desk’s Jeff Goebel, Nick shares his personal experiences of not only seeing Van Halen in 1978 but also meeting them in a rather unique way in 1980. He also talks about working closely with Edward Van Halen in 2009 on the launch of the EVH Branded Wolfgang while he was at Charvel/Jackson/EVH.
During the interview, Nick highlights what an incredible person Edward was, sharing many stories of his generosity towards himself, the late Dimebag Darrell, and many others he worked with.
Nick Bowcott has worked with or interviewed nearly every notable guitarist from the 1980s, including Edward Van Halen, Yngwie Malmsteen, Slash, George Lynch, Dimebag Darrell, and even had a chance meeting with the late Randy Rhoads. Nick is also well known as the founding member of the New Wave of British Heavy Metal band Grim Reaper.
