The Sammy Hagar podcast The Bogus Otis Show recently had the chance to interview the Red Rocker himself!
The Instagram comments started sometime in season two of the podcast, but they weren’t from any random listener. They were from Hagar himself. Bristow and Kinnaird would casually acknowledge their new listener on several occasions, even subtly releasing a dedication episode featuring John Finlay, one of Hagar’s first musical favorites.
As their podcast description states, Bristow and Kinnaird “delve into anything- and everything- within 9 degrees of Sammy, making pit-stops at all points in between!” They’ve welcomed guests such as the director of Live Without A Net, the Hammy Sagar BBQ team, and former VH Road Manager Bob Daitz. A recent trip to Detroit, Michigan placed them at the launch concert of Red Rocker Brewing. The on-location night was a celebration of the Motor City, its’ hard-working industrious story, and as you’ll hear their special guest agree, the backbone of the country.
During the VIP party before the show, Bristow and Kinnaird were starting a segment on dream setlist songs when Hagar entered the room. He greeted some guests before spotting the ‘Bristow and Kinnaird ‘Bo-Hosts’ and crashed the cast. The three chatted about the recent Van Halen remasters set The Collection II, Hagar’s Montrose days, Red Rocker Lager, and his sister Velma.
