The second season of Power Book IV: Force — one of the four shows within what is called “the Power Universe” on the STARZ network — premiered back in September. It begins with Tommy Egan on a mission to avenge the death of Lilliana, his former nemesis turned business partner.
How does that relate to Van Halen, you ask? Well, Tommy Egan is portrayed by actor and producer Joseph Sikora, who is a big fan of Van Halen. And how do we know that? Well, check out this July 2020 tweet posted by Sikora:

When interviewing Joseph Sikora on a junket related to Power Book IV: Force earlier this month, loyal Van Halen News Desk reader Darren Paltrowitz — also co-host of The DLR Cast podcast with Steve Roth and author of the forthcoming DLR Book: How David Lee Roth Changed The World — asked Sikora about his 2020 tweet. In response to how Sikora knew about Sonrisa Salvaje: “Crazy From The Heat, baby. I love Diamond Dave.”
As a followup question, Sikora was asked as to whether he is a big rock fan, considering that Power is generally more confined to the hip-hop scene, based on its producer 50 Cent and some of its talent being best-selling recording artists (e.g. Method Man, Mary J. Blige, Naturi Naughton): “I never conf finded myself to any genre. I definitely was a huge hip-hop head, especially in the 90s… and even late 80s. I I love that Golden Era of hip-hop, but I always loved rock music too. My older brother, he definitely loved metal, so there was a lot of metal playing in the house. We never went as extreme as Cannibal Corpse, but we definitely had DRI and Anthrax and Metallica and Manowar — we went through the M’s there.” Motorhead? ” Of course, ‘Ace Of Spades,’ gotta love it.”
Paltrowitz later threw in one last question related to Van Halen, jokingly asking if Sammy Hagar was the last artist Sikora had seen live: “I like Sammy Hagar… I like some of the Van Hagar stuff, too, but… all Dave, all night.”
