David Lee Roth dropped his own version of Marvin Gaye’s 1965 top ten single “Ain’t That Peculiar”.
DLR fans will recognize the track, which dates as far back as 1994. “Ain’t That Peculiar” was the B-side to “Bad Habits”, which was released in December of ’94. While “Bad Habits” was eventually released on Dave’s 2003 album Diamond Dave while, “Ain’t That Peculiar” never found a home on any future Dave solo albums.
Dave tells VHND today that both Bissonette brothers are playing on this track.
Gregg Bissonette on drums – Longtime DLR-band drummer, and member of Ringo Starr and his All Starr Band since. (2008-present)
Matt Bissonette on bass. David Lee Roth (1987–1992), Jeff Lynne and ELO (2001), Ringo Starr (2003–2005), and currently, Elton John (2012–present).
