Mammoth WVH’s first stadium gig is in the books! Wolfgang Van Halen and his band performed at Hersheypark Stadium in Hershey, Pennsylvania last night (July 31st).
Back in June Wolfgang told Ultimate Classic Rock that the Hersheypark gig reminded him of his first-ever concert as member of Van Halen. That show took place on September 27th, 2007 at Charlotte Bobcats Arena in Charlotte, N.C.
“I’m really nervous, as always,” Wolfgang said. “I’m a very anxious person. But in a funny way, it’s very similar to how I started out in Van Halen, where the first show I played was at an arena in Charlotte, N.C. This time, it’s at a stadium in Hershey, Penn. So it’s following in a really funny way – but definitely still terrifying. It’s an honor to be there … and I’m going to do my best.”
Wolfgang posted an audience view of the Mammoth WVH stage via his Instagram page:

Yo! @MammothWVH was AMAZING! The album is amazing but you have to see this band LIVE! It was special to watch the crowd reaction! Shout out to the guys who brought a custom banner! pic.twitter.com/1UpzDn4Ii7
