David Lee Roth is wishing fans an early Happy Valentines Day. He posted a photo of him with his late dog Russ on social media. The photo also includes lyrics from the Beatles 1965 song “In My Life”: “There are faces I remember…”.

Russ, an Australian Cattle Dog, was Dave’s loyal friend right up until he passed in April of 2019. He was by Dave’s side at every city Van Halen performed together on the band’s last two tours, including Japan and Australia.
Russ was immortalized on Van Halen’s ‘A Different Kind of Truth’ album. His bark can be heard at the 3:19 mark of the band’s song “HoneyBabySweetieDoll”.
