The Las Vegas alternative rockers Amarionette has put together an excellent cover of Van Halen’s 1986 classic, “Why Can’t This Be Love” with a bit of a modern twist.
The band, in particular guitarist Nick Raya, are massive Van Halen fans, and we’re proud to have them premiering their cover exclusively on the Van Halen News Desk.
Nick Raya tells the VHND, “This is one of my all-time Van Halen favorites, and I think we did a good job of putting our own Amarionette spin on it. I think our fans will love it, and hopefully, some of the Van Halen die-hards will appreciate it.”
Amarionette dropped their new LP this summer, ‘Sunset on This Generation.’ The new album is a heady blend of genre-bending synth rock and mouth-watering pop, with splashes of heavier, post-hardcore influence throughout.
This follows their first release, 2019’s EP ‘Evolution.’
This year, the band has conquered new ground, topping 1 million streams on Spotify and landing press support from Alt Press, Kerrang and Loudwire. Collaborations with Kurt Travis and California based Andres, summing up both the band’s dexterity and eagerness to create with an array of talented US artists.
