This week’s episode of DISCovery hosted by Eric Senich of the Van Halen News Desk features an interview with Greg Renoff, author of the 2015 book Van Halen Rising: How a Southern California Backyard Party Band Saved Heavy Metal. He’s about to release a brand new book along with legendary producer Ted Templeman, Ted Templeman: A Platinum Producer’s Life in Music.
Greg talks in-depth on Templeman who produced albums by several legendary bands and artists including The Doobie Brothers, Van Morrison, Montrose, Sammy Hagar, Van Halen, David Lee Roth, Aerosmith, Eric Clapton and more. Greg also shares some rare behind-the-scenes stories on the first six classic Van Halen albums with David Lee Roth plus shares his thoughts on the current state of the band and Edward Van Halen.
Ted Templeman: A Platinum Producer’s Life in Music will be released in April 2020. In the near future, Van Halen Store will be taking pre-orders for the book, autographed by Ted Templeman and Greg Renoff.
