Van Halen’s ‘Aftershock’ Covered

by VHND — updated March 28, 2018 Leave a Comment

It’s another great Van Halen instrumental cover from Jacob and Josh! And once again, premiering it exclusively on the Van Halen News Desk.

Jacob states, “Here’s our cover of the highlight of the Balance album, “Aftershock!” We wanted to tackle the production of this era, which has what we both believe to be Eddie’s second best tone, next to the original brown sound. The production they were heading towards in the mid ’90s was sonic genius, so here’s our take on it!”

Jacob Deraps: Guitar, Bass
Josh Gallagher: Drums, Production

Jacob and Josh have been featured on VHND previously for their incredible covers of “Loss of Control” “On Fire“ “5150” “Outta Love Again” “Runnin’ with the Devil” and “We Die Bold.”

Keep up with guitarist Jacob Deraps via his Youtube channel, his NEW Facebook, & Instagram.
Keep up with drummer Josh Gallagher via his Youtube channel, Facebook, & Instagram.

Live shows this summer: Jacob Deraps and Josh Gallagher are getting ready to tour bars and festivals this summer up in Québec, Canada. All informations about Jacob and the band can be found on jacobderapsofficial.com

  • bobsmith99 bobsmith99 Not sure how many keys lower they can go before this song is unrecognizable. Also, love Mikey in VH but the background vocals are not good here. The whole thing is out of tune. Embarassing.
