Here’s two new behind the scenes videos of David Lee Roth in Tokyo!
Dave has always been a fan of Japanese culture and film, which might explain his involvement in “Tokyo Story,” a 4 minute film that was released online last year. The Tarrantino-style short stars David Lee Roth (as an assassin) and Konishiki Yasokichi (a famous Sumo wrestler, and friend of Dave’s) and can be viewed HERE.
And now, a short behind-the-scenes video has surfaced of David Lee Roth filming “Tokyo Story.” Watch it above.
In this new video, Dave jokes about his new tattoo, saying, “And you’re thinking I that I can’t get into Heaven because I’m Jewish with a tattoo? If the only thing standing between me and Heaven is a pretty picture, then I did not live my life the way I remember it.” [Laughs].
At the time this footage was taken last year, Dave’s tattoo reached across his back. But in his recent “Breakfast Show” video clip, you can say that the tattoo now covers most of his arms and torso, as well. He’s getting the extensive ink from none other than Horiyoshi III, who specializes in Japanese traditional full-body tattoos.
A second video, below, shows Roth and Konishiki attending a sumo wrestling match. Watch that video below.
