“Where is David Lee Roth?”
He’s back! It’s the premiere of Season Two of THE ROTH SHOW!
This 44-minute episode has blown us away! Our host, David Lee Roth, is entertaining as he discusses “The New York City Way.” His video editor must be exhausted, as she compiled no less than a hundred video/film clips (mostly from the 1940s through the 1960s) to create the visual side of Dave’s storytelling.
“Welcome Back!…(how do my socks look?)…to The Roth Show!,” Dave begins.
Naturally, there’s several VH references in this one. Did you know that when David Lee Roth would jump off the drum riser and touch his toes, he was imitating the Barry Brothers? Neither did we. And Eddie Van Halen swinging from the rope in the “Panama” video? Dave got the idea for that from Peter Pan.
We loved the unexpected montage of “Sensible Shoes” video clips from fans.
What’s coming in Season Two? “Everything,” promises Dave. ‘The music will reflect a whole lot of neighborhoods. Let the next few episodes serve as an answer to the question, “What do you do in your spare time, Dave? What do you enjoy as hobbies when you’re not working with the Van Halen brothers? What kind of music do you like besides rock ‘n roll?” There should be a fair amount of answers to these types of questions.’
