Van Halen performed a final dress rehearsal Wednesday night in preparation for their upcoming North American tour which kicks off Feb 18th in Louisville, Kentucky. This “Friends and Family” event was held at the Forum in Los Angeles for a few thousand of their closest friends. A lot of great rock and roll was packed into their tight 70-minute performance. The set list for last night is shown here, but the actual tour’s set list will contain more songs, as their shows are always closer to two hours. The only solo during the night was Eddie Van Halen’s guitar solo, which clearly showed the die hard fans in attendance that Eddie is BACK and playing even better than he did during the band’s last tour in 2007-2008.
Several notable attendees included Charlie Sheen, Jon Lovitz, Valerie Bertinelli, Diane Lane, Miranda Cosgrove, Van Halen engineer Ross Hogarth, Slash, Duff McKagan, Tom Morello from Rage Against The Machine, Jerry Cantrell of Alice in Chains, Tone Loc, Steve Lukather, Vivian Campbell from Def Leppard, Bobby Blotzer from Ratt, Ralph Saenz from Steel Panther, Brad Wilk, John “5″ Lowery, George Lynch, and The Atomic Punks.
