Feel Your Love Tonight is the eighth track on Van Halen.
This song, from the Van Halen album, appeared on the Warner Brothers Demo. The only major difference in the demo and final versions occurs during the break (on the demo version). When Dave is singing without instruments, there’s hand clapping to keep the beat. On the early tours, Alex would incorporate his drum solo after Eddie’s guitar solo in this song.

During the eighties countless hair metal pop hits copied this song’s formula verbatim, from Roth’s horny lyrics to the guitar-and-vocals-only breakdown during the courses. However, none of the imitations equaled the song’s lurid depiction of teenage lust, which was more effective than a cocktail of Spanish fly and Quaaludes for luring young lovelies into backseat action. Those of us who came of age during the seventies pity today’s teenagers with their Justin Bieber and Black Eyed Peas. It’s a wonder anyone gets laid these days.
