Van Halen Nominated in 2012 Ultimate Classic Rock Awards

by VHND — updated December 6, 2012 Leave a Comment

As we reported last month, the staff of Ultimate Classic Rock chose Van Halen’s “A Different Kind of Truth” as the Best Rock Album of 2012, and Van Halen’s “Outta Space” as the Best Song of 2012. (Read that story here).

But now it’s time for their READERS to cast their votes!

The 2012 Ultimate Classic Rock Awards are now live and ready for your voting. They’ve narrowed down 12 months worth of songs, albums, tours, books, DVDs and more into a concentrated group of finalists in each field. Now it’s your turn to pick the winners.

VAN HALEN: They’ve nominated Van Halen in the following 5 categories:

Who Was the 2012 Artist of the Year? (Van Halen)

What Was 2012’s Song of the Year? (Van Halen – “Outta Space”)

What Was 2012’s Album of the Year? (

What Was 2012’s Tour of the Year? (Van Halen)

What Was the Best Photo of 2012? (This question has two Van Halen nominations: “Eddie Van Halen, Happy and Healthy” & “Van Halen Welcome Chickenfoot Drummer Chad Smith to NYC Show”.)

VOTING: Voting is currently open between now and Jan. 15 at 11:59PM ET. Winners in each of the categories will be announced on Jan. 16, 2013. Fans can vote on each question once per hour.

VOTE for VH in all 5 categories on this page!
