I’m disappointed. I’d hoped he’d take his first public address of the new year to announce something. I still wait with baited breath for new VH, but still believe nothing and anticipate nothing until there’s an official announcement. “See you soon.” Could mean anything. I wish it meant see you on tour in 2011 supporting a new album, but it doesn’t necessarily.

I still await official word. They have 12 months and counting to get it done.

I had such a good new years eve. I was in a tiny bar, with my friends, drinking, dancing, all the stuff. Its announced that the last song of 2010 will be playing next. Turns out to be Van Halen! Who would have thought that in a tiny bar in east England maybe 100 people would be celebrating the new year with this band that I thought nobody here even knew about!

It sounds like a tiny thing but I took it as a sign that 2011 will be an amazing year for VH. It seriously made my new years eve that bit better.

Happy holidays to all the VH family and I hope we can all look forward to another year of awesomeness from this band.
