Fan video for “Jump”

by VHND — updated July 12, 2010 51 Comments

This video of Van Halen’s “Jump” was produced by Church by the Glades located in South Florida. They are in the middle a message series called “I Love the ’80’s”. During the series, their Pastor is using ’80’s pop culture as metaphors for teaching points. Some of the 80’s icons being used throughout the series includes the Rubik’s Cube, the A-team, Famous 80s Dads, and, yes, Van Halen!

The “Jump” video piece was supported by a live performance of the song during their weekend services. The weekend the video was used, Pastor David Hughes spoke on the topic of baptism. He told the congregation that he believes baptism should be a celebration of their faith in Christ and that, “you’d might as well JUMP” and do it.
