Autographed Van Halen Philadelphia Flyers Jersey auctioned for charity

by VHND — updated January 3, 2015 30 Comments

Philadelphia Flyers Daniel Carcillo displays one-of-a-kind, limited-edition autographed Van Halen Flyers jersey now available via auction for Flyers Charities. Van Halen signed the jersey when the band last performed at the Wachovia Center in 2007. The jersey will be awarded to the highest bidder. Opening bid was $51.50, in honor of the name of Van Halen’s studio and the name of the band’s seventh album. The high bid is currently $1,575.00. Bidding closes on Wednesday, May 19 at 2 p.m. EST. The Jersey size is XL. Place your bid for charity at at ComcastSpectacorFoundation.org.

Dan Carcillo is a huge Van Halen fan and has seen them in concert.  When Eddie Van Halen heard he was a fan, he had a pair of his signature striped sneakers shipped to him. Carcillo sent a thank package to Eddie which included a signed hockey stick that Eddie is hanging in the control room at 5150. Then, today, Carcillo received another package from the guitarist, an X-Box 360 Guitar Hero Van Halen edition.

Philadelphia Flyers Daniel Carcillo shows off his EVH sneakers. The sneakers are designed to match Eddie Van Halen’s red, white and black striped guitar. EVH sneakers are available on line at VanHalenStore.com.
