Whatever. This won’t be as good as Van Halen’s cinema concert…oh, wait.

  2. van halenerd says:

when the bros and roth get together, the sound will sell itself.what the hell is a roug zen?

  3. Rick Pride says:

Awesome. I want a movie poster!!!! I looooove the Foot. /|\.

  4. walteR says:

Keep waiting for the VH bros to do something….. That’s it keep waiting……………… Is it here yet???????? No wait,,,, Eddie has to paint 5150 first!!!!!!!! LOL

  5. Bluesbro says:

The last thing I would have expected … in the theatre? I guess a one night only run will be like having a bunch of simultaneous concerts. Still, out of left field for me.

  6. van halenerd says:

these guys know theyre not getting any younger, their having fun and making money while they still can.whats a roug zen?

  7. Rick Pride says:

I am so thankful Sammy gives his fanswhat they want!!!! Eddie should take note!!!

  8. FAMAC says:

They are really milking this for every last dime.

  9. t1m says:

Hey, a live concert video in theaters. Just like…U2 and the Jonas Brothers…?

  10. Trouser Snake says:

    Rick Pride,

Eddie did! In 07-08 he gave almost a 1,000,000 of his closest fans what they wanted and he’s about to do it again in 2010!! Too bad you were’nt there!

  11. Rick Pride says:

I was there my man!!!! Twice. I saw the show in Cincinnati it was so awesome I had to see them in Colombus as well. I live Van Halen just really can’t wait for a new alb. Van Halen is my addiction kinda like crack is to crack heads. I need some now!!!! I’m having withdrawl!!!!!!! Everybody wants some, I want some too!’nnn

  12. Trouser Snake says:

Cool, I saw them in Cincy and in Cleveland both excellent shows! Maybe you know, Is Chickenfoot releasing just a live dvd or do you have to buy the album again?

  13. joe pac says:

this is pretty sweet. the pittsburgh show was canceled so i guess this is the next best thing to seeing them live. very cool of them to put this out.

  14. Rick Pride says:

Supposedly they are releasing a live DVD sometime early 2010.

  15. Cabo says:

Will this also ever be released on DVD???

  16. bosox says:

Great idea, very good marketing! I really wish VH would do something like this.

  17. Kimberly says:

This is cool..but I still need some VH tour. NOW. :)

  18. SCAR says:

Well well, getting my buzz on in a movie theater sounds like fun!!!!!

  19. Rick Pride says:

I don’t know I would hope so. It would be nice a double DVD set. Sammy and the boys rule!!!

  20. mjc says:

it’s not being shown anywhere in the metro detroit area, that pisses me off,but the dvd is on the way.

  21. Joe says:

This make perfect marketing sense. Release the concert in theaters first and make some money. When the DVD comes out it will be on the bittorrent sites immediately just like the CD.

Why not see it on a big screen with good acoustics? Dinner and a movie is a cheaper night out than a typical concert ticket.

  22. kenny says:

this band has done more in 6months than VH has done in 20yrs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  23. Johnny says:

Activity, Activity, Activity, Chickenfoot Kicks Ass and they are engaged in Activity!!!!! The Key word my Van Rocking Friends is: Activity!!!!!!!

  24. TheTruthHurts says:

Well said, t1m….just like the catty girl that thinks she’s hot until a way hotter chick with big boobs walks in and makes her curdle.

  25. mjc says:

    kenny,that’s pretty much it.

  26. Where's Dave? says:

Looking forward to this! Hopefully it will be released on bluray.

  27. phil says:

awsome! can’t wait to see it…

  28. Rick Pride says:

    Right on Kenny. Chickenfoot Rocks!!!!

  29. Hey Man, That Suit Is You! says:

Why can’t fans like BOTH Van Halen & Chickenfoot? It’s only rock & roll…

  30. Stew says:

    Is anyone gonna see this?

  31. axeshredder says:

so Eddie…r u watching?…the door is closing fast..and Chickenfoot is the greatest thing since VH…sorry

  32. Chris says:

Unrelated to the Chickenfoot movie…I spoke with a local DJ today (WCCC Hartford, CT) who is very credible (Mike Karolly). Anyway, he expected VH to have a new album out this year and a tour starting by the summer. He mentioned that VH actually had a couple of dates being held for them in March at the Mohegan Sun Arena (CT), but that it was more likely they will come during the summer. Also mentioned that that though they were planning on releasing a new album it was possible that they would be on tour before it was released.

  33. Colby says:

I definitely would see this if it were playing within like 4 or 5 states of me. I mean come on I saw the Foot in New Hampshire and I’m from Maine. Why can’t we get something for once?

  34. 50yr old fan says:

I love that this is pissing off the sammy/chickenfoot haters. keep in mind haters that this stuff might actually push our favorite band to really do something because NOBODY knows for sure if anything is going to happen.

  35. Mink says:

I think it’s great. I’m looking forward to seeing this.

  36. Jor-L5150 says:

    …same show as DVD?

  37. Corey says:

How come nothing comes to Canada? Fuckin American bands. Unlike chickenfoot, who only played one or two shows here, I know I’ll get to see vh when they go on tour.

  38. VH Dude says:

…end of credits: DVD in stores soon.

Rick Pride: I was at the VH Columbus show too. Thought security sucked - they really kind of spoil the fun with the heavy handed crap. Hot girls trying to dance in the aisle? No way, get back in your seat. Wouldn’t want to see that now would we? God forbid someone fired one up. It was a far cry from the last time I saw them with Dave in 1984: controlled chaos, but nothing but a fun, good time vibe…girls flashing, throwing their bras and panties on stage. Van Halen ruled the world. I will say Dave was really giving it all he had and actually hit most of the high notes, but I missed the spontaneity of the old Dave. How was Cinci?

50yr old fan: You are 100% right. I can’t imagine this being anything but good in the way of motivating VH. They HAVE to have an answer to all of this. Van Halen fans should thank CF. They are setting the bar - let’s hope if VH release an album and tour that they also treat the fans to so much goodness…

  39. barry says:

    this is stupid.

  40. Remember the Prom Queen says:

Hello, Texas?? Hope you don’t live near a major city! :(

  41. chris.omeara says:

Thank God that Satriani is still playing thru Marshall amplifiers; Love to see and hear those things cranked up…

No need to get a “signature” series amp from some other company when you have these things, “The Voice of Rock”…

  42. Rick Pride says:

VH Dude yeah Cuncinnati was awesome. I was just in awe of Dave man, there was no way I wasn’t going to see them again if I could. So I had to go to Colombus. Man it’s still in my head. Maybe some of us all can meet up next tour. I know I’d like to go to both Cincy and Colombus for sure when they come again. Maybe we could all gather for a bite to eat before or after a show. I got to see the Foot in Cleveland thank you Sammy!!!! I’m glad we have both. You know? I can’t wait to see what Diamond Dave gives us. If they will let Dave be Dave it will erupt!! The world will know how crazy Dave is and the young kids will have hope for the future. Both Sammy and Dave!!!! We are living in exciting times. I’m glad we are here to see it. And thankful for the VHND for keeping things fresh. Good ole Rock n Roll kiss ass Rock n Roll is back folks!!!!!!!

  43. Jaska says:

Sammy is cool, Sammy cares about his fans!

  44. Rich says:

    Corey

Chickenfoot go everywhere man. They only did two shows in Canada…they only did ONE show in the UK! Luckily enough I live near London….but the fact of the matter is that they came over here. Van Halen hasn’t come here since Balance…and that was again with Sammy. He knows that fans actually exist over here!

The home to Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath, Queen, The Beatles, The Who, Eric Clapton and Cream…need I say more? We know how to rock! And yet VH still don’t consider getting out of the North America loop.

  45. deathmetal4u81 says:

I can’t wait until it’s on DVD, that Van Halen DVD that came out was great, but it didn’t have HD or 5.1. too bad.

  46. Karl says:

^ That’s because the last tour wasn’t really a tour, it was a minimal effort cash grab. Why go to the effort of dragging all that shit to another country when you can pull in $93 million (anyone else think it a little tasteless to use our $$$ as a headline on your website?) in your own back yard. I mean, no-one’s going to be awarding The Brothers an ‘A’ for effort over the last 10 years, are they? Expect one more minimal effort cash grab before they hang up their boots for good. Expect to be offered the opportunity to contribute once again to the Van Halen retirement fund at a North American city near you in the not too distant future…

  47. Mark says:

Chickenfoot does it the right way. Give your fans plenty of music oriented product to keep them interested in you.

From VH we get shoes and a new stomp box. Whoo-hoo. Can’t wait to get my official EVH Drop-D Tuner…end sarcasm mode.

  48. phillster says:

    “LIGHTEN-UP,FRANCES”

  49. John from Raleigh says:

I love this idea. As a CF, Van Halen/Hagar I love being able to see any of the boys in action.

I was laid off when Van Halen came to Raleigh so I couldn’t go to the show, having a movie like this would have been awesome. I just assume a concert DVD would have come from the Dave Tour and I am shocked and disappointed one has not yet come.

Come on Eddie we are dying for product….. What I really want is a clean up version of some of the Dave concerts from the early years.

  50. Pete says:

    COOL!

I saw “Rush In Rio” first in the theatre for the kick-off of their DVD, and it was amazing. This one looks like it’s shot really well too, so I’m stoked.

  51. BTD says:

For once a page of positvity finally all the hating on CF has slowed down. I saw the show in Chicago, Minneapolis and Boston they were fantastic. Good old rock n roll.

  52. Pete says:

BTD…AMEN! It’s amazing how the foot kickin’ ass brings out the whiners…

  53. 50 yr old fan says:

Hey BTD, it’s because when the haters think about it there is really no reason to hate cf or sammy or mike.

  54. Butcher says:

Sammt Hagar runs circles around Eddie in Rock and Roll history. It is ashame Sammy does it for Love and Money and Van Halen is just the money! Love Dave and Sammy VH but it is no competition with Satriani, Sammy schools any 2nd time around Roth VH~!

  55. Rocko says:

This is going to Rock the Theaters. Since when did Joe Satriani become the band’s founder when he was asked to join by Hagar, Anthony and Smith hmmmmm. Anyways Rock On Chickenfoot

  56. Shawn says:

    Got my Tickets!!!
