As much as I disagree with some of Ed’s antics…he is and always will be ultimately for the music.

It is nice to get paid (and believe me he likes it as much as you and I)

Ed’s problem is he let’s the small stuff ruin the big picture.

He lost Sam, Mikey, and Gary. For that very reason.

Hate to brust peoples bubbles because I want to see this as much as you guys. I have friend who works with Live Nation who is merging Irving Azoff’s company, he and all of the employees of both companies were privy to this conference to announce the merger. The Van Halen tour has been somewhat construed, it’s certainly a possibility they could tour 2010, but that’s what it is Irving was just expressing some of the possibilities because of the merger. From what my friend said there are some concerns that if ticket prices approach the last tours they maybe a hard sell especially if there isn’t new album.

Great News!! Lets just hope they ditch the lame ass “Miss America” like stage setup they used on the last tour. That was the lamest rock stage I’ve ever seen in my opinion. But, keep the big screen, that was bad ass. Would love to see the 1984 stage setup with the new big screen in the back. That would be perfect… Actually, what would be perfect is all the above and Mike back, but I’ve pretty much put that wish to rest… See you at the show!!

Well, I say that I will not go unless they release new music, however I am sure I will still go.

We do need new music. I would seriously doubt that they would go out again with out a new album under their belt.

I look at it this way. There are two ways this Album is going to be no in the middle. Either its going to be the best work we have ever heard from VH or its going to suck and the critics are going to eat it alive.

If it does not do well I think they will end up canceling half the tour and go back in hiding again and blame it on Dave and eventually Ed and Sam will rekindle their relationship and Mike will be asked to come back as well.

If the new music is well recieved, then I think they will give it all they got and continue on making more albums.

Either way, I will probably like the new stuff either way just because I think Ed is not only a Great guitar player he is a great song writer and no one can write a guitar riff like Ed which is the problem with 99.99percent of bands just dont write great guitar riffs. But that is another story.

I wish them luck but if I had to bet I think the Van hagar band will reunite someday, somewhere somehow.

You can take a reunion DVD and shove it.Open up the vaults and give us something like Fresno ’79,Oakland ’81,US Fest..anything! We deserve an official live release from the glory years.

GREAT NEWS!!! Could be better if they annouce tour for down under Oz!!!! New music or not, couldn’t give a toss, just get your butts down under ASAP!!! The Van Halen/Roth is the ONE we want to see!! If I can only see the faces of all the Sammy lovers, naysayers & anti EVH’s, your silence if music to my ears!! Christmas has come early, what a great day!!!

If new material or a full new song CD is not done, then I will not shell out for a concert. I really hope Ed is practicing because his playing was slightly sloppy when I saw him last tour.

I took my daughter to see ‘Walking With Dinosaurs’ two years ago when they came to our city.

They came back again this year…although some of the facts and stats had changed since the last time the show had passed through, the whole set up of the show was pretty much the same… down to the same jokes.

So… I’m pretty skeptical when it comes to this Tour Announcement. I’ve seen Van Halen in concert and live on DVD and you may, or may not, have noticed… they’re show runs on a tried and tired template.

If Van Halen tour without a new record, I’m not standing in line for tickets.

Can’t do it again.

Loved to see Dave in 2007, never thought I would see that ever!

But without new music, sorry.

Day after day i search for the Title: Van Halen will put a New Abum on the Road with Diamond David Lee Roth, I Dream it Every Day. Imagine a Lot of Riffs like Ain’t Talkin”Bout Love – Unchained – Hear About it Later and the special Solos of Eddie on a New Album to Us…………..must be David Lee Roth there because He is a part of the Nostalgic and Feelin’g of the real Van Halen of the Early Years, he deserve it……Van Halen is a Party with Him, thats made Van Halen the most Awesome Rock Band of the World !!! Go Ahead Van Halen, Brazil is awaiting you, here will be Nostalgic again like was in 1983 in São Paulo !!!

I hardly call this “OFFICIAL” . Yeah call me negative. But no, there’s pesimestic, REALISTIC, and optimistic. REALISTIC = concert delays like in 2004 and 2007/2008, SHITTIEST SOUND SYSTEM EVER ! NO new music, just a few older ones they hadn’t played before, and SKY HIGH ticket prices in a bad economy. And crappy merchandising. Come’on VH give back some THANKS for all the BILLION$ you made off us.

I would like nothing more than a new album myself.
But we also need to be a little realistic at the same time here. To make an album takes time. You cant rush success.
Im hoping, like many here, that all this time that has passed has been put towards getting in the studio…or at least forming a game plan.
If VH was to tour again in 2010 with NO new material it would not bother me one bit. The CLASSIC VH catalog has more than enough songs and there’s been MANY gems we havent heard live in over 20 years (Girl Gone Bad, Drop Dead Legs, D.O.A, So This Is Love?, Sinners Swing, Push Comes To Shove, The Full Bug…you get my drift)
I thought the last tour was mind blowing. I was on my feet the whole show screaming, singing, dancing and enjoying the fact that these cats STILL sounded amazing after all these years. I would pay AGAIN to see the same show if it came down to it. I just LOVE those old songs. Who doesnt!?
So maybe some here will look at me like a fool to pay such high prices to see another reunion tour…..or say that a tour without new material is ridiculous. But i stand my ground when I say: If the mighty VH is comin to my town I’m there….i’m there….I’m there!
