Edward Lodeewijk van Halen (Lodewijk is pronounced “Load-ah-ivke”) was born in Amsterdam, Holland, on January 26th, 1955. Happy Birthday to the “King of Ten Fingers & Six Strings!”

well - I just found out on wikipedia that he was born in Amsterdam - but for some reason it was repeated for years that it was in Nijmegen - interesting.

OK… I am INDEED or at least maybe mistaken about Nijmegen. When I referred back to a few of my many saved interviews and books, they all read “from Nijmegen”. I could swear that a few of them said “born in”. Wow! and all these years I thought I knew it all about the string king but then again I never had gym class with him either. OK, He was born in Holland… There! Love to all.

I don’t feel tardy- It’s January 27th- but Happy Birthday Edward!!!
Please give Michael Anthony a call & get him back in the band. Mike can do parts of Van Halen concerts with you and Wolfgang can do the other parts. You can decide who does what parts of each Van Halen concert.
Please also think about doing concert tours where you alternate Sam & Dave to open & close Van Halen concerts. It’s the best solution.
